The room we had was lovely. Spaceous & very well presented. Very nicely decorated throughout. Staff friendly & helpful. Fantastic setting. A lovely place to relax. Looking forwad to going back when the new pool is open.

    Very good

The fact that I had to carry my bags up many stairs and doors

Looks fabulous and lovely grounds. Nice reception staff and very friendly. Brand new and very good leisure centre - great gym kit.

Tired inside needing investment in the rooms. Terrible restaurant staff and overpriced food (£20 for a quarter fillet of sea bass). They ran out of sausages at breakfast !!!!.

    The view.

I did not like the furnishing of the room or the décor, the smell of mice and the mustiness of the room. Also the sofa furnishing was a bit grimy.

    Good

    Pool and sauna

Despite booking a family room in the restaurant there was no children menu. As a comprpmose they offered us a small portion of sausage and mash at the over price rate of 11.00 each. We waited nearly 50 minutes for out starter in a quiet restaurant. The food was ok but very much over priced. The room was spacious but seroiusly needs a make over. The bathroom door was hanging off its hinges and the shower dial when turned fell off causing pain to my husband's toes.

    Fabulous

Location & historical setting, helpful friendly staff, fine meals and warm bathrooms.

Fixed shower head, small wardrobe not much use for more than one night stay.

Food was excellent - Spa facilities were also very good. But the staff also made our stay a good one - they were friendly helpful and nothing was to much trouble for them- we would definitely recommend the hotel to others and hopefully will get to stay again.

Spa treatment rooms were placed alongside the main corridor to the changing rooms and access to the pool- which for me meant when I was having treatments the quite atmosphere of the treatment room was disturbed with noise levels of people going back and fore outside the room.

    Exceptional

the stately home is set in beautiful grounds offering a relaxed atmosphere to help unwind, the decoration of high standard and service is second to known, the staff are friendly the food tastes as good as its presented,

the Spa facilities are clean and of high standard, the swimming pool is luke temparature and Jaquzi very warm, the steam and sauna rooms are both relaxing.

The spa facilities were excellent, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a lovely 'stately-home' style building, in picturesque surroundings. The building and vast gardens are well maintained.

    We didn't dislike anything.

    The spa and the setting

Poor value for money I thought it expensive for the room we had. The level of staff availbale for service was poor, I had to ask 3 times for bar service (the reciptionist each time said she would ask one of the kitchen staff - what stopped her from pouring a pint escpaes me!).

It was very clean, the staff were very friendy and welcoming and the facilities were great.

    Very good

Very dated interior, carpets were worn out, for what was provided it would of been better to stay in a travel lodge

Comfortable hotel in lovely surroundings. Food good.

Service terrible. Spa treatments apparently sold out for the whole weekend when we arrived. Refused a sandwich for lunch because they were too busy in the kitchen!!!! Pretty expensive hotel which thinks it is a lot better than it is. Very much in need of managing properly and lessons in customer service.

    Exceptional

The location; access by train; easy access to the All Wales Coast Path; easy use of the Coastal Cruiser bus service;use of the luxury spa facilities after a long walk to Tenby and from Bosherston. Nice dining room with excellent food. Would be interested in any"special offers" in the future. Would recommend to my friends.

    Its location

  • 5.4
    Guest rating

The location was excellent and the first sight of the hotel from the road was impressive.

I did not like walking up, what looked like, beer stained steps and through the designated smoking area (with full ashtray) to enter the hotel and check in at reception. I did not like the fact that the restaurant offered limited, slightly better than, bar food. Fortunately the other hotel along the road more than compensated for this. I did not like paying 'luxury' prices for an average hotel.
